Our Land, Our People
For thousands of years we have lived in Iiyiyuuschii - our homeland - an immense area contained by the lakes and rivers draining into eastern James Bay and southeastern Hudson Bay. Our lands are rich in fish and birds, and big-game and fur-bearing animals. Casting a web over the region is our network of hunting territories and the nine Cree communities.
